Why “Eliminate Down”?

While playing the game, I thought, “This is great—but wouldn’t it be even better if I could use the 6-button controller to switch weapons and adjust speed?”
Also, continues felt pointless—I’d restart a level with no power-ups, so I might as well just start over and not die at all.
That’s when I realised: I could fix this!

Hack features:

• A brand-new Remix mode accessible via the options menu
• Cleared stages become selectable from the menu.
• A speed cycle function for 3-button controllers.
• Weapon and speed control for 6-button controllers.
• The mini-game has been updated to grant credits and unlock cheats
• Progression and scores saved to SRAM at the transition from game over to the SEGA logo.
